Refunds and cancellations Draft
When money comes back, how to cancel a plan and what happens next. In draft while it is reviewed.
This policy applies to websites, hosting and plans from Sites and Servers, an Australian business. Questions go to hello@sitesandservers.com.au.
Your rights come first
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service is not delivered with due care and skill, is not fit for the purpose you told us about or is not delivered within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a remedy, which can include a refund. Nothing on this page takes those rights away. What follows is what we do on top of them.
Website builds
- Before work starts: cancel by email and what you paid is refunded in full.
- If we decline the job or cannot start it: what you paid is refunded in full.
- After work has started: you pay for the work done, never more than the build price. The rest of what you paid is refunded. You receive what has been made so far.
Hosting and care plans
- Monthly: cancel any time. The plan runs to the end of the month already paid and is not charged again.
- Yearly: cancel within 30 days of paying and we refund the months that have not started. After that, the plan runs to the end of the paid year and does not renew.
Growth plans
Cancel any time before the next billing date, from the billing page in your account or by email. The plan runs to the end of the month already paid and is not charged again.
Build it yourself
The set-up fee is refunded in full if you cancel before we have set up your editor. The monthly or yearly fee works like a hosting plan paid the same way.
Domains
Once a domain is registered or renewed, the registry does not refund the fee, so neither can we. The domain is in your name and stays yours.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card or account the payment came from, usually within 10 business days of being approved.
A charge that looks wrong
Please email hello@sitesandservers.com.au first. We would much rather put it right directly. It is also faster for you than a dispute with your bank.
The full terms are in the website build terms and the hosting and care terms.
